The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for managing and processing a high volume of incoming faxes through the clinic’s electronic medical record (EMR) system. This role ensures that incoming documentation is accurately downloaded, reviewed, and directed to the appropriate physician or secretary in a timely manner to support patient care and clinic operations.

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for:

- Downloading and processing a high volume of incoming faxes through the EMR system
- Reviewing incoming documentation and directing it to the appropriate physician and/or administrative staff
- Monitoring the EMR fax system for failed transmissions and redirecting or resending faxes when required
- Ensuring all faxed documentation is properly uploaded, categorized, and attached to the correct patient chart
- Assisting with general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, and faxing when required
- Answering internal and external phone calls related to medical records or fax inquiries when required




- Maintaining organization of medical records and assisting with file room maintenance when necessary
- Performing other duties as required to support clinic operations

- Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Previous experience in a medical office or administrative role is considered an asset

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.90 per hour
