We're a Canadian Merchant Cash Advance lender looking to add an experienced underwriter to our growing team. This role plays a key part in our funding process, responsible for reviewing merchant applications, assessing risk, and making sound, timely funding decisions that keep our pipeline moving. You'll work closely with our sales team to ensure deals are structured properly and funded quickly, while protecting the company from unnecessary risk.
This is a outstanding opportunity for someone who understands the MCA space in Canada and wants to grow with a fast-paced, high-volume lending business.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze merchant funding applications, bank statements, and financial documents
- Assess risk and structure funding offers
- Work closely with sales to move deals from submission to funded
- Manage a pipeline of active files and turn around decisions quickly
Skills:
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
- Comfortable working a high-volume pipeline
- Detail-oriented and able to make sound decisions under time pressure
Compensation: Starting at $90,000/year, based on experience
