Applications are now being accepted for a Temporary Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to work in the Emergency department. The successful applicant’s commitment to this position is 75 hours per bi-weekly pay period and be available to work 0700-1500 Monday to Sunday, including holidays. Please note, this is a temporary position scheduled to end on or before January 31, 2027.

Education

- Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses in the Extended Class with a Master’s degree preferred
- Active member of the RNAO, NPAO Chapter
- Current BCLS required
- Palliative care training required
- Current NRP certification or will pursue within 6 months

Skills and Ability
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and commitment to client centered care model
- Crisis management skills




- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team

Work Experience
- Two years recent experience in Acute care nursing is preferred

Other
- Good attendance record and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position is required
