Cashier/Hybrid Floral Assistant (Full-time Only)

Location: Downtown Toronto | Grocery Store

Key Requirements (Important)
Strong English communication and verbal expression skills (Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus)
Legal authorization to work in Canada (valid work permit or study permit with work eligibility)
Explicit communication skills, responsible attitude, and strong customer service awareness
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting

Position Summary

We are currently hiring a Cashier to handle daily checkout operations and provide professional, friendly service to customers. This position requires good English communication skills, a responsible work ethic, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Operate the POS system to process cash, debit, and credit card transactions
Greet customers politely and provide efficient, friendly service




Manage cash handling and ensure accurate daily balances
Scan merchandise and verify pricing to ensure error-free transactions
Answer basic customer inquiries and provide assistance when needed
Maintain a clean and organized cashier area
Process returns, exchanges, and discounts according to store procedures
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Assist with other store duties as required

Qualifications
Previous cashier or retail experience is an asset
Basic spoken English communication skills required
Honest, reliable, and detail-oriented
Basic math skills with the ability to handle cash accurately
Ability to operate POS systems and basic computer functions
Able to stand for extended periods

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $18.00 per hour
