We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our busy restaurant team. This is a new role. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, delivering high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and providing excellent food service experiences, possibly with Italian food knowledge. Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
Support the kitchen team with cooking tasks, including grilling, sautéing, and plating dishes
Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation expectations
Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
Adhere to health department regulations and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is required
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Experience in meal preparation, serving, or related roles within the food industry is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication within the kitchen staff
Italian food knowledge preferred
Pay: $17.60-$24.86 per hour
