Job Summary

As a Generator Technician you will support a remote Canadian mining operation powered by large-scale oil and gas generators. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of industrial generator systems, ensuring reliable power generation in demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on large-scale diesel and/or natural-gas generators.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues to ensure reliable power generation.
Operate and maintain generator controls, paralleling/synchronization systems, switchgear, and related equipment.
Monitor generator performance and respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency power issues.
Complete inspections, testing, maintenance records, and corrective work in accordance with site procedures.
Support secure and efficient operations in a remote mining setting, working closely with electrical, mechanical, and operations teams.

environmental, and company requirements.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with diesel and/or natural-gas generators, generator controls, paralleling/synchronization, switchgear, and preventative maintenance.
Mining, oil & gas, or remote-site experience is considered a strong asset
Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
Ability to travel frequently and work autonomously.

Pay: $42.00-$55.00 per hour
