Senior CNC Setup Machinist – Edmonton, Alberta

Source Machine is a growing precision machining company located in Edmonton, Alberta, and we are looking for experienced Senior CNC Setup Machinists interested in relocating to Edmonton for a stable, long-term opportunity.

We operate a up-to-date, well-equipped CNC facility and are looking for experienced machinists who can independently take a CNC lathe from setup through first-off production.

Afternoon Shift
Monday to Thursday
3:20 PM – 1:50 AM
Four-day work week

Key Responsibilities
Perform complete CNC lathe setups from start through first-off approval.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.;
Set tooling, workholding, machine offsets, and cutting parameters.
Verify first-off parts and make adjustments as required.
Complete in-process inspections and maintain quality requirements.
Troubleshoot machining and setup issues.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Support efficient production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Minimum 5–7 years of CNC lathe setup experience.
Strong experience independently completing full machine setups.




Experience with Mazak/Mazatrol and/or Doosan/Fanuc CNC lathes preferred.
Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, workholding, and GD&T.;
Programming is not required, but Mazatrol or G-code programming experience is a strong asset.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable, quality-focused, and interested in long-term employment.

This position is located at our manufacturing facility in Edmonton, Alberta. We are specifically advertising in Ontario to connect with experienced machinists who may be interested in relocating to Alberta.

Applicants must be willing and able to relocate to the Edmonton area for this position.

Pay: $34.00-$41.00 per hour
