Golden City Supply is a building materials supplier serving Calgary contractors and homeowners. We're growing, and relocating to a larger facility this year.

You'd be the first person our customers talk to. Contractors calling in orders, homeowners walking in with questions. We need someone accurate, calm on the phone, and organized enough that nothing gets lost between the call and the delivery.

What You'll Do
Answer incoming calls and serve walk-in customers at the counter
Take orders accurately — confirm pricing, stock, and delivery timing
Enter orders, quotes, and customer data in Spruce (ECI)
Prepare quotes and invoices; follow up on outstanding ones
Manage the general email inbox
Coordinate pickups and deliveries with customers and yard staff
Maintain customer account records and filing

Requirements
2+ years in customer service, reception, inside sales, or retail
Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese — our customer base does business in all three, and you'll switch between them daily
Comfortable with high call volume — calm, explicit, organized




Strong written English for customer emails and quotes
Accurate with numbers, part numbers, and order details
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Legally entitled to work in Canada

Assets
Building supply, construction, hardware, or trades experience
Experience with Spruce, BisTrack, Epicor, or a similar point-of-sale or inventory system
Familiarity with building products

Room to Grow

This isn't a dead-end front desk role. We're a small team moving into a larger facility, and the person in this seat has a direct path into more responsibility as we scale — inside sales, purchasing support, or office management, depending on where your strengths land. We'd rather promote someone who already knows our customers than hire from outside.
Performance review at one to two months, with a wage increase tied to how you're doing

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
