Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic High School Science Tutor to inspire and support students in mastering scientific concepts and skills. You will work closely with students to clarify difficult topics, develop effective study strategies, and build confidence in their scientific abilities.

Duties
Deliver engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning style and needs
Assist students with understanding core scientific principles, theories, and laboratory techniques
Develop customized lesson plans and practice exercises to reinforce learning objectives
Support students in preparing for exams, quizzes, and standardized tests related to science courses
Track student progress, provide constructive feedback,



and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance interactive learning experiences
Collaborate with teachers, parents, or guardians to ensure consistent academic support and communication

Experience
Prior experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or tutoring setting is highly preferred
Demonstrated expertise in science subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, or environmental science
Solid background in tutoring or teaching science at the high school level or higher
Familiarity with classroom management techniques and special education needs is a plus
Proficiency in computer skills, including educational software and online learning platforms
Experience with math integration and computer science concepts can enhance instructional effectiveness
Previous classroom experience or training related to science education is advantageous

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
