Rouge River Chocolate Inc. is a micro-processor licenced by Health Canada and Canada Revenue Agency to manufacture and sell chocolate edibles to the medical and recreational cannabis market in Canada.

PLESE NOTE: This is a full-time, in office only position, working from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Chocolate Assistant to join our team. This role offers an exciting prospect to work in a creative and fast-paced environment, supporting the production of high-quality chocolate edibles. The ideal candidate will have a love for culinary arts, especially chocolate and baking, along with experience in food handling. This position is perfect for individuals interested in the food industry and food safety, looking to develop their skills within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and production of chocolates edibles.
Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness according to food safety standards.
Package finished products efficiently ensuring quality control.
Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, melting, and molding chocolate.




Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored.
Support kitchen operations by cleaning equipment and adhering to sanitation protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications
Previous experience in chocolate work, baking, or food preparation is preferred.
Restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, especially within the food industry.
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with an eye for presentation and quality control.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Passion for culinary arts, especially in chocolate making and confectionery.
