About the Program

We are a hands-on survival skills education program bringing real-world outdoor knowledge into school classrooms across Peel Region. Our workshops are engaging, interactive, and designed specifically for students in Grades 1–6. We cover everything from fire safety and first aid to navigation, shelter, medicinal plants, and survival mindset — giving kids practical life skills in a fun and memorable way.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable facilitator to join our team and deliver our workshop series to elementary school students this fall.

The Role

You will deliver pre-planned, fully outlined survival skills workshops directly to students in Peel Region schools. All curriculum, materials, and instructor outlines are provided — you bring the energy, the confidence, and a genuine love of working with kids.
Schedule: 2 workshops per week, 1 hour each
Contract length: September – December 2026 (12 weeks), with solid potential to continue into the new year
Location: Peel Region elementary schools (Brampton)
Compensation: $65 per workshop

Who We're Looking For

You are someone who lights up in front of a group of kids. You are calm,



prepared, and adaptable. You can take a lesson plan and make it come alive in the room.

Required:
Experience working with children ages 6–11 (classroom, camp, recreation, or similar setting)
Comfortable speaking confidently in front of groups
Reliable, punctual, and skilled
Able to travel independently to schools across Peel Region
Valid vulnerable sector police check

Assets (not required but a bonus):
Background in outdoor education, camping, scouting, or wilderness skills
ECE diploma, education degree, or related training
Experience as a supply teacher, camp counsellor, or program facilitator
First aid certification
