Duties
Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with attention to detail and presentation standards
Assist in food preparation tasks including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling ingredients for sushi
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area according to food safety standards
Support the serving team by ensuring timely delivery of freshly prepared dishes to customers
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
Contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation during busy periods
Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, storage,



and sanitation to ensure a safe working environment

Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
Knowledge of sushi making techniques, including rolling, slicing, and presentation skills
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
Familiarity with kitchen equipment used in sushi preparation such as knives, rice cookers, and refrigeration units
Previous experience in the food service industry or restaurant workplace is highly desirable

Sushi helper or Maki man: $ 20~ 24 / hr + tip
