Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Field Safety Assistant to support our Health & Safety team. This role involves attending active job sites, observing work practices, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a solid safety culture and documenting site conditions through clear and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Attend daily or scheduled site visits across various project locations
Observe and monitor work activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
Identify potential hazards and report findings to the Health & Safety team
Complete detailed site visit reports and documentation
Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members on safety expectations
Support incident investigations and follow-up actions as required
Assist with safety audits, inspections, and general safety initiatives

Qualifications




Valid G Class Driver’s License (required)
Previous health & safety experience is considered an asset
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Ability to work independently and travel to multiple job sites
Valuable written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, report writing)
Knowledge of construction or utility work settings is an asset

Working Conditions
Primarily field-based role with travel to active construction sites
Exposure to various weather conditions
Must be comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment
