Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our long-term care home located 10 minutes south of Saskatoon. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a long-term care home or healthcare food service setting, a robust understanding of food safety, and a passion for preparing nutritious meals for seniors.

This position requires 11-hour shifts, weekend availability, and candidates must be based in/around the Saskatoon area.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to residents' dietary needs and prescribed food textures.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist with meal preparation and kitchen organization.
Ensure meals are served accurately and on time.
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
Assist with inventory and support other kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of food safety and dietary requirements.




Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
Experience working in a long-term care or healthcare food service environment is preferred.
Availability to work 11-hour shifts, including weekends.
Food Handler Certification (Food Safe, SafeCheck, or equivalent) is mandatory.
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check is required prior to employment.
