We are looking for a positive and caring individual to fill the position of: School Bus Driver

Qualifications:
Patience and a desire to make a difference in a child’s life
Strong attention to detail
A minimum of a G class license (we provide a FREE license upgrade)
Meet the minimum age requirement to hold a school bus driver’s license (21 years of age)
Hold a valid (non-probationary) driver’s license with a very positive driving record
Display safe and defensive driving techniques
Ability to work independently
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of the assigned school route and surrounding areas would be an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Undergo & Pass a Ministry prescribed medical examination, criminal record search, vulnerable sector clearance,



driver’s abstract and other background checks

Responsibilities:
Safely drive students to and from school during the school year
Communicate clearly and interact with parents, school employees, passengers, co-workers and the public in a courteous and professional manner
Ensure safe work practices are being followed
Report any injuries, collisions or property damage that occurs immediately
Follow procedures and complete required paperwork
Perform daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle safety inspections
Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Rapid-paced workplace; sitting for extended periods; Hours of work are within 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (September to June) on school days only;
