Summary
Reporting to the Treasurer – The Treasury Manager supports the organization’s liquidity and financial stability by preparing and analyzing cash flow, supporting banking relationships and minimizing risk exposure across North American operations.
What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
Own, maintain and analyze the 13 Week Cash Forecasting process utilizing Pegasus cash management software.
Manage the daily cash balances in all bank accounts to ensure optimal funding of accounts.
Provide recommendations to improve cash flow, working capital and minimize revolver usage.
Forecast foreign currency needs (USD/EUR) and execute on the TPGS hedging policies.
Preparation of quarterly lender reporting requirements in accordance with debt agreements.
Manage the implementation of a current global banking partner.
Support the implementation of a recent expense management and credit card program.
Review and approve online banking templates, payments and transfers.
Prepare all debt and asset financing & lease schedules.
Analyze and provide recommendations related to payment schedules to facilitate accurate cash forecasting.
Support the integration of the bank accounts and treasury processes of current acquisitions.
Manage day-to-day treasury tasks such as investigating payment status with the banks and internal stakeholders.
Support the Treasurer with the following activities:
Annual insurance renewal process and other related insurance requests
Bonding requests
Legal and insurance claims support
Risk management activities such as reviewing contracts for internal stakeholders
Create standard operating procedures for all treasury processes.
Research and provide recommendations for updates to existing policies and processes to ensure best practices are maintained and consistent.
Identify and implement cost savings opportunities where available.
Exposure to full cycle accounting and financial reporting and analysis.
Other tasks and projects as assigned.
What You Need (Requirements)
Post secondary degree
CTP designation is preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury
CPA designation is considered an asset
Accounting related experience is considered an asset
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Netsuite, Microsoft Great Plains and SAP Concur
Advanced Excel skills
Working knowledge of multi-currency transactions, accrual accounting concepts and job costing
Sound understanding of accounting concepts and principles
Accuracy of data entry; aptitude for detail
