August 8 was originally established in 2008 where its first location opened in downtown Hamilton, Ontario. As a recent concept of dining, it was recognized as the first restaurant of its kind in the area to bring the finest aspects of both Cantonese-style dim sum & Japanese cuisine.

BRIEF

We seek energetic, dependable, and self-motivated individuals to join our team. Candidates with open availability and prior experience as servers will be given special consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Server:
Engage with guests, take food orders and accurately enter them into the POS system.
Deliver food, transparent plates and reset tables in a timely fashion.
Takes reservations and waiting lists, handles phone calls and customer inquiries and assists various restaurant staff when necessary.




Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

EXPECTATIONS:
Prioritize and perform different tasks in an efficient manner
Think critically and problem-solve independently
Have a sense of urgency during busy lunch and dinner services
Clear communication with guests regarding issues that may arise
Possess a strong urge to provide excellent dining experiences for our guests

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
Ability to understand and follow directions from others.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Having Smart Serve certification is a plus
