CNRL – Albian & Horizon- Automotive Service Technicians- Fly-In / Fly-Out

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and versatile technician who has worked on various mechanical equipment. We are looking for someone who is a problem solver and a fast thinker and able to work independently. This is a full time and permanent position. This position is safety sensitive.

The rotation for this position is 7 days on / 7 days off

Knowledge & Skills Required
Journeyman Automotive Service Technician
2 – 5 years related experience desired (Ford experienced considered asset)
Valid Driver’s License (Class 5)
Exposure to working on gas & diesel engines
Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and understand parts and service manuals in English
Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment
CVIP License - not required but considered an asset
Health & Safety Knowledge – OH&S; rules and regulations guidelines

Primary Duties and Responsibilities




Maintaining and repairing a fleet of 1200+
Diagnose, examine and investigate to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle components with the use of computer diagnostic equipment
Determine proper course of action to facilitate vehicle repair, maintenance, adjustment and component replacement
Maintain, adjust, components, and parts to ensure the operational fitness of vehicles
Communicate and consult with all levels of employees
Perform procurement of parts and materials
Maintain a clean and safe work setting
Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work
Diagnostic tests as needed
Diagnose and repair 4X4 component’s (overhaul differential’s)
Follow and comply with all health, safety, environmental, and HR procedures
Attend company training programs as required
