Overview

Coffee Shack is a local, small family owned business in the heart of Langford. We have been operating for 4 years now and have a loyal following of regulars. The Cafe is busy and buzzing all the time. We are seeking an experienced Barista who is passionate about Coffee and People. This is not an entry level position, previous cafe experience is a must.

Duties
Steam and texture milk properly, pour basic latte art.
Memorize drink menu and make drinks consistently
Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties and responsibly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of cafe bar area, customer and lobby spaces
Maintain stock levels and inventory of Coffee Bar
Assist with basic food preparation tasks including making sandwiches and wraps, preparing or finishing baked goods.
Able to work in a fast paced work environment and manage multiple drinks orders at a time.




Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred!
Familiarity with POS system : square
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately
Food protected certification.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while being self motivated to complete task and the potential to lead staff.

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
