We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients.
Provide excellent patient care by addressing inquiries and providing information regarding medications.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures.
Accurately label medications and prepare prescription orders for review.
Help maintain a clean and organized pharmacy setting.
Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals.
Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Pharmacy assistant.
Proficiency in WinRx software is an asset.
Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy preferred,
but not needed.
In-depth knowledge of Pharmacare and third party insurers.
Solid understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
Strong math skills.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care.
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.
