Efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
Scanning and testing baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors and other technology, along with physical search techniques
Providing information professionally and with integrity
Confirming valid boarding passes
Protecting restricted areas
Managing conflict
Communicating clearly and effectively
Upholding all regulations with vigilance
You will receive paid training ($35.35/hour), followed by top industry wages ($38.40/hour) based on your completed hours of service. You’ll also receive comprehensive perks and a excellent uniform!
What You Bring:
Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one (1) year
Open availability to work any shift as required by the airport operations, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
Robust English communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in French is an asset
Ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Only candidates currently living in a close proximity to Sandspit will be considered.
This position is fully based at K'il Kun Xidgwangs Daanaay Airport (YZP).
If you are successful in the application process, you will be required to apply for a Transport Security Clearance (TSC), which requires an extensive background check. Once obtained, you will be eligible to begin the Screening Officer Foundations (SOF) course, which much be successfully passed prior to beginning work as a Pre-Board Screening Officer.
