Responsibilities
Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired finishes, utilizing color matching tools
Apply primer, base coats, transparent coats, and other finishes using spray guns and hand tools
Ensure proper surface preparation to achieve smooth, even paint application
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Inspect finished work for quality control, making necessary touch-ups or corrections
Follow safety protocols related to handling paints, solvents,
and equipment
Operate power tools and hand tools safely during the painting process
Assist with vehicle repairs or mechanical tasks as needed, leveraging automotive repair knowledge
Experience
Dealership experience is highly desirable but not mandatory
Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair enhances job performance
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive painting and repair
Experience with heavy lifting and working with automotive parts or materials
Prior mechanic experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in automotive services
Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and safety procedures is preferred
