Support students' social and emotional growth as a Youth Care Worker with Abbotsford School District. This casual role involves crisis intervention, individual support, and collaboration with counselors and teachers. As a Youth Care Worker, you will assist students who require behavioral support under the guidance of the Principal.
You'll conduct assessments, plan activities, and document progress while maintaining confidentiality. Your contributions will foster a positive developmental workplace for at-risk youth in the agile Abbotsford educational setting. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide crisis intervention in classrooms and playgrounds
Support counselors with intervention strategies and assessments
Offer group and individual sessions for skill development
Maintain documentation and progress reports for students Requirements:
Grade 12 diploma and 2-year post-secondary diploma
Minimum 2 years of experience with at-risk youth
Current CPI certification and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and resilience to change Utilize your counseling and behavioral skills to enhance youth development in Abbotsford School District.
