Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team in Toronto. This versatile role combines essential bookkeeping responsibilities with administrative support, ensuring smooth financial operations and efficient office management. Our company is a fast-paced and fun-loving modelmaking studio with an enjoyable work atmosphere. This is an in-person role, one day per week, and is a great fit for someone who enjoys working in a creative studio space.
We’re looking for someone with meticulous bookkeeping experience, with strong consideration if you have prior experience migrating from QuickBooks to Payworks. The role includes weekly bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoicing, payroll support, and helping us keep our financial systems organized and up to date.

The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Manage weekly bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Experience with Payworks software would be considered a plus
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Reconcile bank statements and perform account analysis to maintain accurate financial records
- Perform payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and timely salary disbursements
- Maintain organized financial files, invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports
- Provide general administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Payworks is essential
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with payroll management and processing
- Ability to perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation accurately
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account analysis processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors
