The Owen Sound Police Service has a requirement for a Part Time Data Clerk. Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position will be responsible for reception and records entry. This position involves shift work and has no guaranteed number of hours per week.

To be considered for one of these positions the applicant must;

- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
- Possess a minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Possess accurate and proficient typing skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Be of good moral character
- Be available to work shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Prioritization and multi-tasking skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transcription of officer reports onto the Records Management System (RMS)
- Check reports for accuracy, grammar and spelling
- Court brief assembly
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Assist the public on criminal record checks and report requests
- Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) maintenance and updating

QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 and two years of administrative experience in an office environment
- Must possess a working knowledge of MS Office
- Proven experience in data entry, typing speed of at least 75 wpm with high accuracy
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Must be self motivated and work well within a team setting




- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

The work is 12 hour shifts, days and nights.
