We bring the full setup to customer locations, including backyards, gyms, schools, camps, churches, sports team events, corporate events, community spaces, and approved outdoor locations in Milton and within a 100 km radius.

Role overview

We are looking for a reliable and confident Part-Time Event Lead / Youth Activity Coach to help run GAMEYARD events from start to finish.

This is a year-round, event-based part-time/casual role. Hours depend on booked events and are expected to be 8–20 per week. Assignments are typically 2–4+ hours and may take place during evenings, weekends, school breaks, and summer. You will report to GAMEYARD’s Milton base and travel to customer locations using a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

- Set up the play field by unloading equipment, placing foldable obstacles, preparing the play area, and confirming the setup is safe before players arrive.
- Prepare and test Falcon F1 taggers, music, DJ lights, live scoring, batteries, and other event gear.
- Welcome players, explain the activity, give clear instructions, manage team rotations, and keep events moving on time.
- Coach games by explaining missions, objectives, rules, boundaries, and Base Zone expectations.
- Keep gameplay non-contact, organized, respectful, and appropriate for children, teens, adults, and mixed-age groups.
- Communicate professionally with organizers and parents, answer basic questions, and provide clear updates.
- Pack down after events,

organize and load equipment, and leave each space clean.
- Record hours, applicable mileage, incidents, equipment issues, customer feedback, and post-event notes.
- Follow GAMEYARD standards for punctuality, professionalism, child-safe behaviour, venue rules, and safety.

Qualifications

- Required experience leading children, teens, or groups in camps, sports, recreation, events, coaching, or youth programs.
- Confidence speaking to groups and giving clear instructions.
- Solid customer service skills; friendly, fair, calm, and professional with organizers, parents, and players.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence and comfort driving up to 100 km from Milton.
- Reliable availability for evenings, weekends, school breaks, and summer.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 lb and remain active during 2–4+ hour event assignments.
- Comfort learning event equipment, including taggers, scoring, sound, lighting, and field gear.

Compensation and work arrangement

- $18–$22 per hour.
- Expected hours: 8–20 per week, depending on booked events.
- Work location: on the road, reporting from Milton.
- Company vehicle provided for event travel.

Before applying, please confirm that you:
- Can continue working after September 1, 2026 and commit to this year-round role for 6–12 months.
- Can report reliably to GAMEYARD’s Milton base, complete physical setup and pack-down, and remain active through event assignments.
- Have personally coached or led groups of more than 20 participants; please indicate approximately how long and in what setting.
