The successful candidate will oversee projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.This role requires strong coordination across internal design, construction, and estimating teams, as well as external consultants, subcontractors, and public-sector stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of design-build construction projects from contract award through commissioning and handoverAct as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholdersLead project teams including site staff, consultants,
and subcontractors to achieve project objectivesDevelop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules and cash flow forecastsControl project budgets, track costs, approve expenditures, and manage change ordersIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and profitabilityCoordinate with architects, engineers, and internal design teams to ensure constructability and scope alignmentParticipate in value engineering, cost optimization, and constructability reviewsEnsure design development complies with contract requirements, building codes, and client standardsPrepare and administer subcontracts, purchase orders, and consultant agreementsReview tender packages, evaluate bids, and support subcontractor selectionManage contractual obligations in accordance with CCDC and public-sector procurement frameworksEnsure compliance with Amico’s Quality Management System and Health & Safety policiesOversee inspections, testing, and deficiency managementEnsure projects meet applicable codes, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirementsPrepare and present regular project status reports (schedule, cost, risk, and progress)Lead client meetings, site meetings,
and coordination workshopsMaintain accurate project documentation and recordsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field5+ years of project management experience in building construction, preferably social infrastructure or institutional projectsStrong experience with design-build delivery modelsFamiliarity with public-sector clients and institutional standards (healthcare, education, transit, civic)Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, construction contracts (CCDC), and procurement processesProficiency with project management software (e.G., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, Excel)Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary project teamsExcellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilitiesHigh level of organization, attention to detail, and accountabilityAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentSalary Range: $115,000 - $175,000/per yearWhat AMICO Can Offer You:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer Matching Retirement ProgramLife insuranceAt Amico, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
