Skin Care West – Nanaimo, BC

Skin Care West is a busy medical and surgical dermatology clinic seeking an organized, professional, and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team.

The PCC plays an essential role in supporting our patients, physicians, and clinical staff. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment, communicates exceptionally well, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional clinic experience
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Process referrals, incoming documents, and medical correspondence
- Manage physician schedules and assist with clinic flow
- Maintain accurate patient demographics and electronic medical records
- Communicate with patients, referring providers, pharmacies, and other healthcare offices
- Provide general administrative support to physicians and the clinical team
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinic policies and procedures

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Medical Office Assistant training is considered an asset
- Experience with Accuro EMR is an asset




- Strong computer, typing, and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and productive in a busy environment
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to assist where needed
- Reliable, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent patient care

Experience in dermatology is not required. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.
