Position Summary

Alma Rehab is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Records Scanning Specialist to support our medical records team. This position is focused exclusively on scanning and organizing patient documents to ensure that all patient files in the electronic medical records system are complete, current, and properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Scan patient documents into the electronic medical records system.
- Ensure documents are uploaded to the correct patient file.
- Review scanned documents for clarity, completeness, and proper orientation.
- Keep patient folders up to date by scanning newly received documentation promptly.
- Organize documents according to established filing and naming procedures.
- Identify documents that appear to belong to the wrong patient or folder and bring them to the appropriate staff member's attention.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all patient privacy and records-management requirements.




- Perform routine quality checks to ensure documents have been successfully scanned and filed.

Qualifications
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with computers and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to handle repetitive, highly organized work.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- Previous medical records, administrative, scanning, or healthcare office experience is an asset but not required.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
