Job Title: Lab Assistant – Audio Electronics Assembly & Testing
Location: Eleven Engineering

Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support the assembly, testing, and quality inspection of audio electronic products and components. Role responsibilities include pick-and-part assembly, soldering assembly, product testing, inventory organization, and maintaining accurate records within a fast-paced lab and production setting.
- The ideal candidate can work with very small components, strong focus, technical curiosity, and the ability to follow precise instructions while working with sensitive electronic components and audio equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble audio electronic components and products according to specifications and schematics
- Perform pick-and-part organization for production and repair workflows
- Conduct product testing, troubleshooting, and quality inspections
- Assist with soldering, wiring, shipping, and receiving
- Maintain accurate testing logs and assembly records
- Identify defective components and report inconsistencies
- Organize inventory, tools, and lab materials
- Support prototype builds and small-batch production runs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab workspace
- Follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Electronic Engineering Technologist preferred (NAIT/SAIT)
- Soldering experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow technical instructions and documentation
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time management skills
Preferred Skills
- Electronic soldering experience
- Experience with electronics assembly or testing preferred
- Familiarity with audio equipment, PCBs, connectors, and electronic components is an asset
- Basic understanding of lab testing equipment an asset
- Audio electronics or music equipment knowledge
- Experience in manufacturing, repair, or electronics labs
- Proficiency with MacOS
- Inventory or parts management experience
- Music experience and asset
Work Environment
- Bench-top electronics assembly and testing setting
- Requires sitting, repetitive hand movements, and handling small components
- May involve lifting boxes or equipment up to 40lbs
