Extendicare invites Licensed Practical Nurses to join their team, reporting directly to the Director of Care. This part time role focuses on delivering goal-directed nursing care, ensuring that assessment and documentation are accurate and timely. Successful candidates will engage in resident care planning, medication administration, and nursing coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient-oriented nursing care as per provincial standards
• Conduct clinical assessments and maintain accurate care plans
• Administer medications and treatments following regulations
• Coordinate care conferences and resident transfers
• Assist in managing emergency situations and resident concerns
Requirements:
• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Experience in senior care environments preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Ability to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
