Support the teaching of Food: Religious Concepts and Practices at the University of Manitoba as a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator. Engage with students through lectures, tutorials, and grading assignments.
This part time position offers up to 20 hours per week from September to December 2026. Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, marking student assignments, and facilitating student consultations. Applicants with a background in Religion and Culture are preferred, along with effective English language skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend orientation and planning meetings regularly
• Prepare instructional materials such as tests and assignments
• Mark student work throughout the course
• Maintain office hours for student consultation
• Participate in additional duties like field trips or material development
Requirements:
• Knowledge in the subject matter of RLGN 1430
• Robust empathetic approach to student concerns
• Completed studies relevant to the position
• English language proficiency required
• Recent student transcript required for applications
