We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and support with daily living activities to our father. He is just returning home after a hospital stay for pneumonia. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in his recovery and in helping the family care for him at home.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assistance in the performance of physiotherapy exercises
- Assistance in completing two daily walks using a mobilty aid
- Provide companionship and dialogue
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and maintaining a safe workplace
- Support him with mobility aids and transfer techniques to prevent falls or injuries
- Document care activities, observations, and any changes in health status clearly and promptlySkills
- Strong understanding of dementia care strategies
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with family members
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Licence/Certification
- PSW certification (preferred)
