Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate is confident in their technical abilities, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is passionate about patient care, client education, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high‑quality nursing care to hospitalized and surgical patients
Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery following clinic protocols
Assist with surgical preparation, dental procedures, radiology, and laboratory diagnostics
Collect and process blood, urine, fecal, and cytology samples
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure clear communication with clients and team members
Support veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and post‑treatment instructions
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness in treatment and surgical areas
Uphold all safety, infection‑control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
Registered Veterinary Technician in good standing (or eligible for registration)
Strong technical skills and confidence with anesthesia, dentistry, and patient handling
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment
Compassionate, patient‑focused approach to care
Experience with veterinary software (e.g., Shepherd, AVImark) is an asset
