Join ONWA as a Parenting Across the Life Cycle Training Coordinator to empower Indigenous women through culturally relevant training and support. This role focuses on developing skilled support for Parenting Workers throughout the parenting journey. At the Ontario Native Women's Association, this coordinator position plays a pivotal role in community development.
Responsible for developing training sessions and resources, you will focus on parenting supports and skill-building for Indigenous mothers. Collaborating with community programs, you will help enhance the effectiveness of services provided to support families navigating child welfare and violence issues. Key Responsibilities:
Develop training programs and workshops for Parenting Support Workers
Create culturally rooted resources and communication tools
Facilitate community needs assessments and gap analyses
Implement trauma-informed practices in training development
Collaborate with program staff to enhance service delivery Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
Minimum three years in community service delivery
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Robust facilitation and networking skills
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and child welfare systems Leverage your training expertise to make a meaningful impact for Indigenous families through ONWA's programs.
