As part of the UBC Facilities team, this full time position requires trade certification and at least five years of experience.

The Trades 3 Mechanic will conduct skilled repairs on campus vehicles and equipment, ensuring safe and productive service throughout the university's fleet. Enjoy a four-day work week while participating in ongoing training and professional development. Key Responsibilities:
Overhaul engines and transmissions on various vehicles
Perform electrical and electronic diagnoses
Maintain all vehicles up to recognized standards




Inspect vehicles per Provincial Vehicle Inspection requirements
Train and monitor apprentices in the workshop Requirements:
Journeyperson certification as Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanic
Minimum five years of relevant mechanical experience
Valid BC Driver’s license with a clean record
