Pharmacy in North York seeking motivated Part- or Full time Pharmacy Assistant A progressive warm atmosphere with care at the heart of our practice.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling
- Phone system management including answering calls, triaging voice messages
- Email and text messages checking and actioning as needed.
- Data entry of patient care information accurately
- Third Party adjudication , insurance billings (entry level is accepted)
- Accurate dispensing of prescription medications
- Blister package experience, responsible of blister pack preparations, managing on time preparation and deliveries
- Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
- General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to pharmacist where required and necessary as per OCP guidelines
- Handling accurate customer prescription pick up
- Organizing deliveries and ensuring items are delivered, cold chains observed
- Pharmacy fridge temperature monitoring
- Cash register management




- Opening and closing responsibilities
- Cleanness of the pharmacy and maintenance

Job Qualifications:
- Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is an important asset
- Working knowledge of Fillware, or entry level
- Excellent organizational skills and detailed orientation
- Robust and caring communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Proficient computer/data/entry skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include weekdays, weekends
- Mandarin / Cantonese / Armenian speaking is an important asset
- Experience with retirement homes is an assest

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:
- pharmacy: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
- Minimum High School Diploma (preferred)
