JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of Pharmacy Operations Manager or team lead, the pharmaceutical labeler, ensures labels are placed on packages accurately and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Print out labels for medications · Ensure that labels are placed on the correct medication in a timely manner

· Assembles, labels and provides supplies as required under specific contracts

· Participates in quality assurance activities as directed

· Performs general housekeeping duties in the department on daily basis

· Files documents appropriately according to P&P;’s

· Communicates appropriately with all members of the healthcare team.

· Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities education programs and department/branch meetings.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certificates and Experience · High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience working in a rapid-paced environment which requires a high level of accuracy.

Language Skills

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.

· Ability to understand basic medical terminology.

Mathematical Skills

· Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

· Ability to compute rate,



ratio, and percent and must be able to perform basic algebraic calculations.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities

· organized and disciplined; basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

· The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

· The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to prepare packages for shipment, use computer and other equipment and reach with hands and arms.

· Vision requirements include close vision, colour vision, night vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

· Lifting required as per employee capacity, employee must notify Supervisor regarding any health issues that may affect ability to lift

WORK ENVIORMENT

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles

· The employee may be occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals

· The employee occasionally works near moving parts

· The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate
