We are seeking motivated Pharmacy Technicians to join our growing Oncology Pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity to practice across two highly specialized oncology pharmacy settings—our Outpatient Oncology Retail Pharmacy and Sterile Compounding Service.

Unlike traditional pharmacy technician roles, this position combines direct patient care, specialty pharmacy practice, advanced sterile compounding, and clinical trials. Every day, you'll play an essential role in ensuring patients receive life-saving cancer treatments safely, accurately, and without unnecessary delays.

As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, you'll work alongside pharmacists, physicians, nurses, drug access navigators, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients throughout their cancer journey.

Hours of Work: 8-hour shifts scheduled Monday through Fridays. Regular Saturday shifts are an expected part of the position and is based on operational requirements.

What You’ll Do

- Rotate through both our Specialty Oncology Pharmacy and Sterile Compounding Service, developing expertise across multiple areas of oncology pharmacy practice.
- Dispense oral anticancer therapies and supportive care medications in our specialized outpatient oncology pharmacy.
- Coordinate medication reimbursement through private insurance, the Ontario Drug Benefit Program,



Trillium Drug Program, and manufacturer patient support programs.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and drug access navigators to facilitate timely access to specialty oncology medications.
- Prepare sterile chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, biologics, supportive care medications, and investigational drugs using advanced aseptic techniques.
- Compound medications for oncology clinical trials.
- Utilize specialized pharmacy software and electronic health record systems while maintaining the highest standards of medication safety and accuracy.
- Manage medication inventory, procurement, and storage of high-cost oncology medications.
- Participate in quality assurance, medication safety, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

What We’re Looking For:

- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Experience in community, hospital, or specialty pharmacy.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems (e.g., Kroll) and electronic health records is considered an asset.
- Sterile compounding experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of medication reimbursement and third-party insurance adjudication is considered an asset.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced workplace.
