Reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, Program Instructors are an integral part of the Recreation and Culture Division. The Pre-School and Children's Instructor is responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of recreation activities for children ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years old.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Plan and lead instructional programs for children.
- Set-up and Clean-up of any supplies needed for the program.
- Communicate with participants and parents.
- Report any issues, concerns, or areas of development to the Recreation Coordinator.
- Complete class certificates and achievement awards if necessary.
- Create a welcoming, safe, and positive workplace for all participants.

along with Corporate Safety policies, procedures and programs. In addition, all necessary personal protective equipment must be used and maintained in good condition. Experience & Qualifications:

- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a recreational setting.
- Previous experience planning and implementing program plans is considered an asset.
- Availability/flexibility to work daytime, evenings, and weekends.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certificate or willing to obtain prior to employment.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required.
- HIGH FIVE: Principles of Healthy Childhood Development (considered an asset).
