About the Opportunity

At Dayforce, product learning is a key part of how customers realize value from our platform.

The Training

Solutions team designs, develops, and maintains product training that enables customers, partners, and Daymakers to confidently learn, adopt, and maximize the value of Dayforce.

We're looking for an experienced Principal Instructional Designer who thrives on solving complex learning challenges, creating exceptional product learning experiences, and continuously improving how people learn our products.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who enjoys leading through expertise rather than people management. Operating with a high degree of independence, you'll partner across Product, Services, Customer Support, and Global Training Services to shape Dayforce product learning, solve complex learning challenges, and deliver learning solutions that evolve alongside the platform.

Success in this role comes from consistently delivering high-quality product learning that scales with Dayforce, helps customers realize value from the platform, and continuously improves through data, feedback, and product evolution.

What You'll Get to Do Design, develop, and continuously evolve Dayforce product learning that helps customers, partners, and Daymakers confidently adopt and maximize the value of the platform.

Partner with Product, Services, Customer Support, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and recommend effective, scalable solutions.

Own the lifecycle of learning content, from new development through product release updates and continuous improvement.

Apply instructional design expertise and sound judgment to solve complex learning challenges and influence learning solution decisions.

Evaluate learning effectiveness using learner feedback and performance data to continuously improve outcomes.

Share expertise, provide design feedback, and help elevate instructional design practices across the team.

Champion modern learning technologies and AI-enabled workflows that improve learner experiences and team effectiveness.

Independently manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving product environment while balancing evolving priorities and release timelines.

Skills and Experience We Value Eight or more years of experience designing and developing learning solutions in instructional design, learning experience design, curriculum development, or a related field, ideally within a SaaS or enterprise software workplace.

Strong expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and creating learning experiences that improve performance and product adoption.

Experience translating complex products or technical concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences.

Confidence partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, influencing decisions, and leading through expertise in a collaborative environment.

Proficiency with modern learning technologies such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, or similar authoring tools, along with curiosity about using AI to enhance instructional design.

What Would Make You Stand Out

Experience designing product learning for Dayforce or another enterprise HCM, ERP, or SaaS platform.

Experience supporting learning in Agile product development or rapidly evolving software environments.

Experience leveraging AI to improve instructional design workflows and learner experiences.
