Title: Sr. Engineer - Aircraft Structural Dynamics

Location: Montreal (On-site)

Mandatory: fluid mechanics, heat transfer, in-flight icing, heat transfer and CFD analyses.

Type: Contract/ Fulltime

Role Overview:
Perform aeroelastic and aeroservo elastic simulations in support of new aircraft design studies and continued airworthiness of in-service aircraft
Use engineering judgment on selecting the appropriate methods, techniques, and tools in resolving complex issues
Prepare and maintain finite element models to perform aeroelastic and aeroservo elastic analysis
Maintain, develop and document methods and in-house software
Support and interact with other engineering disciplines, such as Advanced Design, Aerodynamics, Structures, Mass Properties, Flight Controls and Control Laws
Support ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight flutter testing (FFT) and post-process results
Document analyses and findings in engineering certification reports and presentations (English)

Required Skills:
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred)



degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace specialization. A high education would be an asset
You have relevant experience in the aerospace industry
You have some experience in aeroelasticity and aeroservoelasticity analyses
You have a good understanding of aircraft structures, aerodynamics, control surface actuations and control laws
You have experience with finite element models and analysis. Experience with Nastran is an asset
You have experience with agile system stability and frequency response calculations
You have experience programming in Matlab, Python, Fortran, or C/C++
You are eligible to acquire Canadian Controlled Goods (CGD) clearance
You have some knowledge of Airworthiness regulations
You have valuable organizational skills in planning work activities and completing tasks within budget and on schedule, and can work under pressure
You have valuable analytical thinking, problem solving, communication skills both written and spoken, in French and English
