About the Role The Production Geologist is part of the Technical Services - Geology team. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating the extent, orientation, and composition of mineral resources and mineral reserves. They plan and coordinate the development of mineralized zones.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and log definition drilling programs at the mine.
- Interpret observational data to create geological maps and models describing the extent and orientation of geological units, structures, and ore zones.
- Calculate ore tonnage and grade and contribute to mining stope profitability assessments.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Department in preparing monthly and quarterly mine production forecasts.
- Work closely with the Engineering and Mining Operations departments to minimize ore dilution during development and stope mining activities.
- Ensure the proper execution of lateral development work within the orebody.
- Oversee quality control for sampling, geological mapping, and stope evaluations.
- Comply with, understand, and promote company policies and regulations, particularly those related to health and safety.




- Perform all other related duties as required.

Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of geology experience in the underground mining industry.
- Member of the Ordre des géologues du Québec (OGQ) or the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible for membership.
- Valid explosives permit and driver's license.
- Completion of the Mining Training Modules Program (F.M.T.M.).
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Deswik, Leapfrog, Vulcan, and Microsoft Office.
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

- Éléonore Mine Site (fly-in/fly-out from Montréal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, and Wemindji).
- Schedule: 14 days on, followed by 14 days off
