Job Title: Production Line Worker

Shift: Day Shift — 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. Start times may vary beginning at 5:00 AM, with shifts typically ending by 4:00 PM.

Location: Crust Craft Inc. 13211-146 St NW

Department: Production

Reports To: Production Supervisor/Production Manager

Position Overview:

Crust Craft is a research and development-driven commercial bakery that specializes in the manufacturing of specialty breads and pizza crust products. This dynamic role will report to the Production Shift Supervisor and Production Manager. Crust Craft has a dynamic team of professionals that produce high quality results in a fast-paced environment.

English is the primary language used for workplace communication, training, and documentation in our production environment. Safety instructions, procedures, production requirements, training materials, and other essential workplace information will be communicated in English.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform repetitive, stationary tasks on a production line such as ingredient handling, dough forming, product monitoring, handling and packaging.
- Monitor product appearance to ensure they meet company and customer specifications.
- Manually handle and lift unbaked and finished products, supplies, up to 50lbs, using proper lifting techniques.

Safety Initiatives:

- Actively participate in a zero-injury work culture and encourage all Health & Safety and GMP protocols.
- Properly use and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as mandated for the role.
- In emergency evacuations, prioritize safety by ensuring to follow guidance of supervisors and team leads to nearest emergency exit that is safe to use.
- Actively participate in hazard identification, and corrective actions, promoting preventative approaches.
- Participate in timely and accurate investigations and necessary follow-up actions.
- Timely reporting of all work and non-work-related injuries, impairment(s),



and work refusals to supervisor before starting shift to ensure fit for duties.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift, performing a thorough clean up before, during and at the end of the shift.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment that reflects company culture and supports programs.

Quality Assurance:

- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including impeccable personal hygiene (e.g. proper handwashing, segregation, cleaning procedures, allergen program.
- Report any food safety, quality or pest control concerns to Supervisor immediately.

Teamwork & Communication:

- Communicate effectively with team members, leads, supervisors and managers regarding production issues, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a respectful, professional, and solution-oriented tone in all interactions to support a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Support team goals and assist colleagues as needed to ensure line efficiency and meet production targets.
- Participate in training for recent processes, safety protocols, and food safety standards.

Required Competencies:

- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic math skills for counting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a positive, respectful attitude.
- Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:





- Must be able to meet the physical demands and working conditions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 15.5 lbs (7 kg).
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to safely perform production-line duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

- 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with Saturday production shifts as required.
- Work is performed in a food manufacturing environment that may be dusty, noisy, wet, hot, cold, or humid.
- Exposure to fine airborne food powders, including flour, spices, and powdered dairy products.
- Exposure to common food allergens, including wheat, soy, and dairy.
- Required to wear and properly use assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with company safety requirements. Depending on the task and area, this may include respiratory protection.
- Must follow all food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements.

Qualifications:

- Must follow all food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and GMP requirements.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety requirements.
- Ability to monitor product quality and identify and report deviations from product specifications.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and follow direction from Line Leads and supervisors.
- English comprehension and communication skills are required, as workplace instructions, safety information, production procedures, training, and documentation are provided in English. Candidates must be able to understand and communicate information necessary to perform the job safely and effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.85 per hour
