Production Operator – Paper Coating

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operator – Paper Coating to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production role where you will monitor the application of colour to paper, perform quality checks, maintain production records, and support the setup and operation of coating equipment.

We are looking for candidates with previous machine operation, manufacturing, or production experience. Training on our specific equipment and processes will be provided.

Position Details

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Shifts:

- Monday to Friday, 6:30 am - 2:45 pm
- Sunday -Thursday, 10:30 pm - 6:45 am

Starting Wage: $17.86+/hour Location: St. James Industrial Area, Winnipeg, MB (near Route 90)

What You'll Do

As a Production Operator – Paper Coating, you will:
- Monitor the application of colour to paper throughout the production process.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet production requirements.
- Identify, communicate, and help address quality or production concerns.
- Accurately complete production records and paperwork.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of coating equipment as required.
- Monitor the production process and report equipment or production issues.
- Use your mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to help identify basic production issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe,



and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet production requirements.
- Perform other production and departmental duties as required.

What We're Looking For

- Previous machine operation, manufacturing, or production experience.
- Good mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on product quality.
- Ability to monitor a production process and identify when something does not look right.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage your time and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to accurately complete production paperwork and records.
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg (approximately 44 lbs.) as required.
- A reliable, positive, and safety-conscious approach to work.

Education & Experience

- High School Diploma, Level 12 G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Previous machine operator, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
- Experience working with production equipment in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Training on our specific coating equipment and processes will be provided.
