Maison O’Brien is hiring a Sous-Chef to support the daily management of the kitchen. The Sous-Chef at Maison O’Brien plays a central role in brigade organization, dish quality and team cohesion. This full-time position is for a passionate, structured and motivating professional ready to contribute to smooth service, high standards and the evolution of our menu.

Your role in the kitchen Leadership and operations - Assist the Chef with planning and executing daily kitchen operations
Supervise the brigade during prep and service
Take an active role in preparation, cooking and plating
Ensure clear communication with the front of house for a seamless service Quality, safety and consistency - Uphold standards for quality, presentation and flavor
Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations, including MAPAQ requirements
Control temperatures, stock rotation and labeling
Maintain clean, organized and safe workstations Key responsibilities - Manage inventories, place orders and oversee receiving
Train, coach and motivate team members while fostering collaboration
Contribute to menu development and current dish creation




Work with the Chef on cost control and waste reduction What we are looking for - Positive leadership and the ability to mobilize a team

Autonomy, attention to detail and exemplary conduct
Team spirit and clear communication Required qualifications - Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, including supervisory experience as Chef de Partie or equivalent
Mastery of fundamental and advanced culinary techniques
Knowledge of MAPAQ standards and best hygiene practices
