The Labourer is responsible for providing assistance to Heavy Equipment Operators and Supervisors in completing their assigned tasks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain clean work environment
Move and organize materials on the work site
Perform general errands as assigned by the in office Supervisor and/or Heavy Equipment Operator
Perform traffic control at the work site (flagging)
Operate basic hand tools and power tools
Provide manual labour assistance on various tasks and assignments
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Physically strenuous and demanding job, including lifting, pulling and managing heavy equipment and objects. Must be able to lift 100 pounds on a consistent basis.
Work is performed outside in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
May include exposure to dangerous substances and the employee must take necessary precautions to protect self from irritation and infection.
Willingness and ability to travel out of town to perform work as necessary.




Must provide own steel toe boots.

Skills and Knowledge Required:
Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and responsible manner
Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
Knowledge of workplace safety and protected lifting and handling procedures
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Must demonstrate the following personal attributes: honest and trustworthy, respectful, flexible, and have sound work ethics.

Job Types: Full time, Temporary, Contract Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Experience:
construction labouring: 3 years (required)
Concrete forming: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
Drivers Licence (required)
