Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time (approximately 18 months)

Reports to: Vice President Corporate Services and CFO

Non-Union

Reason for Posting: Temporary Backfill

Hours of Work: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: $57.67 - $68.50 per hour

We need a Project Management Lead to join our Planning and Development team! You want to be part of our Planning and Development Team because we collaborate with teams across the entire hospital, help turn strategic ideas into meaningful improvements, and play a key role in driving organization-wide change. Resource Management As the successful applicant, you will do the following:

- Plan, coordinate, and lead the project management function of the hospital with the goal of delivering on, and supporting strategic projects and initiatives
- Lead resource allocation and capacity planning for projects, ensuring efficient use of hospital staff and equipment
- Collaborate with department managers to secure necessary resources for successful project execution
- Oversee the training and professional development of project management team members

Project Leadership

- Lead, plan, and execute high-impact projects that enhance hospital operations, clinical outcomes, patient experience, and safety
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resources required for successful project completion
- Assign and monitor project tasks, ensuring deliverables are met an quality standard are maintained
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the hospital to ensure project alignment with organizational goals

Stakeholder Management

- Serve as the primary point of contact for project related matters, facilitating communication between key stakeholders such as Senior Leadership, department managers, clinicians, and external vendors
- Share ideas, build consensus and write with impact.



Chair meetings and prepare quality project planning and status materials.
- Develop trusted working relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring Senior Leadership is informed and engaged
- Foster collaboration between departments to enhance cross functional-teamwork and project success.

Risk and Issue Management
- Proactively identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that project risks are regularly assessed and addressed, with appropriate contingency plans in place.
- Lead the resolution of project related challenges and escalate issues to Senior Leadership as needed.

Process Improvement & Standardization

- Promote and implement best practices in project management within the Hospital.
- Lead continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
- Ensure consistency in project management methodology and project reporting across all projects and initiatives.

Quality Control And Evaluation

- Monitor project performance, ensuring compliance with Hospital standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Oversee project evaluation and quality assurance processes, ensuring the final deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Lead in post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and apply lessons learned to future initiatives.

Budget & Financial Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial constraints.
- Monitor and report on project expenditures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
- Work closely with the finance department to track project costs and ensure financial controls are in place.

What You’ll Bring

Required

- Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation
- Undergraduate Degree specific to Business, Healthcare, Clinical Informatics, Engineering, Construction or Project Management
- 5 years demonstrated experience successfully managing large and complex projects (design and/or construction)
- 3 years project management experience in a healthcare environment
- Working knowledge of risk management and mitigation in healthcare construction projects,



construction documentation and ability to coordinate plans between various trades and disciplines, and practical application of Broad Public Sector procurement methods for design and construction services ranging in size.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and manager budgets for large capital projects, coordinate plans between various trades and disciplines, manage change, facilitate transitions, and drive adoption of new technology and care deliver models.
- Ability to plan, delegate and assign work to resources
- Proactively identify and resolve conflicts within tams and associated workstreams; mitigate risk with contingency plans.
- In depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and techniques
- Understanding of budgets and fiscal responsibility.
- Experience in workflow process mapping, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, team building, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinker with independent decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
