: Reporting to a Public Health Inspector Supervisor, the Public Health Inspector is responsible for a comprehensive environmental health program in the community. Using a variety of qualified and technical skills the public health inspector protects individual and community wellness through health promotion activities and enforcement of provincial acts and regulations as well as bylaws.

- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)

Licenses

- Certificate in Public Health Inspector (Canada) (CPHI(C))

Knowledge and Abilities

- Provide training/info. for residential, recreation, commercial premises
- Ability to facilitate reduction of communicable diseases and health hazards
- Ability to investigate complaints to ensure compliance with legislation
- Ability to facilitate community development and encourages a healthy environment
- Ability to performs tech.assessments, provides consultative/educational services
