Vacancy: New
Title: Purchasing Coordinator
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 Annually.
The final salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist/ Buyer will be tasked with purchasing materials and services required by the organization. These responsibilities include order generation, following up on purchase orders, and tracking orders throughout the supply chain.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and services in alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements
- Manage supplier quotations, pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times
- Support sourcing activities, including supplier communication, sample requests, and pricing comparisons
- Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery
- Assist in resolving supply issues, shortages, delays, and discrepancies
- Ensure accurate entry of pricing, MOQs, lead times, lot/expiry data, and receipt transactions
- Coordinate with Production and Planning to align purchasing with manufacturing demand
- Work with Quality to ensure materials meet specifications and documentation requirements (SDS, TDS, CoA)
- Liaise with Finance to support invoice accuracy
- Communicate with Warehouse and Logistics teams regarding deliveries, receipts, and storage requirements
- Ensure suppliers provide required documentation, including SDS, TDS, Certificates of Analysis, and regulatory information
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement documentation in accordance with company procedures
Skills required for the job:
- Proven ability to manage projects and to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a minimum of 3 years of “hands-on” ERP experience, (MS Dynamics Business Central knowledge is preferred).
- Focused on details, highly organized and works effectively with shifting priorities and rapid change.
- Experience managing vendors and third-party relationships.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and work effectively with all levels in the organization.
- Takes immediate action to resolve issues or problems when they arise.
- Self-motivated and fosters a sense of urgency, prioritize, and allocates time appropriately to complete assigned tasks.
- Balances order deliveries timelines and cost control without sacrificing quality standards.
- Extremely Tech-savvy with above average working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Power BI, Outlook, and MS Teams.
- Highly analytical and good with numbers
Qualifications (Education & Experience) required for the job:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, a Quantitative Discipline, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 3 years of proven purchasing, sourcing and replenishment experience in manufacturing, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, or related industry.
